What can you do to help your high school student prepare for the real world? In a very short time, your child will be out of school and determining the course of their life, so how can you help them prepare for this? Some students will go to work, some to the military and some on to further their education. Here are some resources you may find helpful as you help them make decisions about their future.

Working while in High School
If you and your child determine that working while in high school is an option, there are things you should know about the hours they can work, the age they can begin work and what type of work they can do, so check out the child labor laws:

Selective Service
Once your son turns 18, he needs to register for selective service, check out this site for the information he needs to do this:
