Small Business and Technology Development Center
Your local Small Business & Technology Development Center (SBTDC) provides assistance to current and prospective small business owners with fewer than 500 employees. The SBTDC offers one-stop assistance to individuals and small businesses by providing a wide variety of information and guidance. The program is a cooperative effort of the educational community, and federal and state governments and is an integral component of the SBA's Entrepreneurial Development's network of training and counseling services.
Your local SBTDC can help with all aspects of operating a business including:
Individual Consultations:
- Confidential strategic planning sessions

- Comprehensive business management counseling
Marketing Strategies:
- Marketing plan analysis or development
- Develop customer lists
- Demographic site analysis
- Sales territory management
- Gathering and analyzing data about your competition
- Expansion to other locations
Financial Analysis:
- Financial statement analysis to control: inventory, cash flow, etc.
- Assistance in developing financial needs and plans for growth
Additional Assistance:
- Technical assistance in obtaining patents and trademarks for intellectual property
- Procurement technical assistance centers for aid in winning government contracts
- Small business innovation research and small business technology transfer funds
